A German Violin Circa 1950 labelled ‘Hopf’. The amber spirit varnish is in good overall condition. The violin is based on the Stradivari model with beautifully cut f holes and finely inlaid purfling, all typical of the good German workmanship of the Hopf school.

This violin is fittd with ‘Wittner Fine Tune’ pegs for ease of tuning and the sound very much suits the fitted Dominant strings.

Vintage Violin German 1950s VN1329

This Vintage Violin German from 1950s is fitted with Wittner geared pegs and displays a softly defined scroll and perimeter markings. The two-piece back is minimally flamed with an amber varnish and the label inside reads ‘Original “Hoff” Streitchinsturment’. It features a wooden tailpiece with Thomastik Dominant E and D strings, D’Addario Helicore A and Thomastik Vision G.
