Vintage Violin Czech Circa 1907 VN 1446
A fine violin from the acclaimed Czech violin maker Ladislav Prokop who had an established business at Churdim. Ladislav Prokop was the son of Franz Dominic Prokop and he established his business at Churdim (Bohemia) in 1896, where he worked until 1925.
This instrument which was made in 1907 is finished in a reddish brown oil varnish, and although there are unmistakeable signs of continuous use over the past 100 years the violin remains in good condition.
This maker produced violins with a strong, clear tone and this instrument is no exception.
