Vintage Violin French by Charles Le Blanc Circa 1810 VN 1415
A French violin by Charles Le Blanc circa 1810. The model is basically Stradivarian. This front is of fine, varied grain spruce with two expertly mended cracks. The maple back has a medium figure extending upwards from the centre joint. The scroll is of very fine workmanship and the head grafted which could indicate the instrument being made just prior to 1810. The ribs are of light figure and in good condition. Overall the instrument is in very fine condition and the tone is clear. Varnish: oil and of a golden hue.
