Vintage Violin French Circa 1900 VN 1346
A French violin circa 1900 labelled Le Cesar CH. U. Paris with a nicely famed one piece back and a two piece top of nicely grained quarter cut spruce. These instruments were made by Thibouville-Lamy in Mirecourt around the turn of the 20th century and are considered to be high quality French trade instruments. There is evidence of two professionally repaired cracks on the table but these do not detract from the overall appearance of this handsome instrument, however these repairs are reflected in the asking price. The varnish is light orange on a golden ground and the tone is large and full.
