A saxon violin ( Germany) circa 1900. This instrument has a fine, one piece back with superbly figured maple. The ribs are also made of well flamed maple and the scroll and neck are made of similar fine wood that has clearly been specially chosen for this instrument. The honey coloured varnish is in a good state of preservation.

This handsome instrument is fitted with Tonica Strings.

Vintage German Violin VN1408 Circa 1900

This Vintage German Violin VN1408 features a gorgeous one-piece, moderately flamed maple back reminiscent of tigers-eye, and a fine grain spruce table. The scroll is sharply defined, the perimeter is slightly marked, and the instrument is fitted with fine wooden pegs. This violin includes Pirastro Tonica strings and fine tuners.
