Description

This is a finely crafted Vittorio Rosti violin dated 2000, handcrafted in Castelfranco Emilia (Modena), Italy by Italian luthier Vittorio Rosti. Rosti, born in Castelfranco Emilia in the Modena region of northern Italy, was active as a violin maker in the late 20th and early 21st centuries and worked within the Emilia-Romagna school of violin making, blending traditional Italian techniques with careful material selection and workmanship.

This violin bears a traditional Italian label inscribed “Vittorio Rosti, Fece in Castelfranco E. (MO), Anno 2000”, confirming its origin and year of manufacture. The instrument features a solid spruce top and finely flamed maple back, with a rich honey-brown varnish typical of Italian hand-crafted violins.

Rosti dedicated attention to wood selection, often choosing high-quality resonance spruce and maple to support strong tonal response and clarity. As a product of Italian craftsmanship, this violin combines aesthetic elegance with precise hand carving, suited for serious amateurs, or as a collectible instrument.
