My name is Paul. I have been teaching saxophone, clarinet and guitar for 28 years.
I have been teaching privately for twenty eight years and ran my own music school for 20 years. I have completed my Associate Diploma in Performing Arts (jazz) ADPA at the West Australian Academy of Performing arts (WAAPA). I have performed in bands for 14 years, released CD’s and toured.
The most important element in my teaching style is to have fun. The best way to achieve this is to base all learning around the clients favourite songs. I have developed my own learning system that combines special learning techniques, memory skills and mindset that allows the client to learn their favourite songs straight away. This can be achieved even if they are a beginner and those songs are more advanced.
My usual teaching format is:
I also teach theory, exam preparation(AMEB), songwriting and band management.
We also have an annual concert where students get to showcase their hard work through the year.
My charges are:
$30 for a 30 minute lesson (individual).
$60 for a one hour lesson ( individual).
Lessons are paid upfront before commencement of a block of 10 sessions.
I have a working with children card and a National police clearance.
All my lessons are conducted in Balcatta.
