This German violin features a gorgeous one-piece, moderately flamed maple back, and a fine grian spruce table. The scroll is sharply defined, the perimeter is slightly marked, and the instrment is fitted with fine wooden pegs.

A saxon violin ( Germany) circa 1900. This instrument has a fine, one piece back with superbly figured maple. The ribs are also made of well flamed maple and the scroll and neck are made of similar fine wood that has clearly been specially chosen for this instrument. The honey coloured varnish is in a good state of preservation.
This handsome instrument is fitted with Tonica Strings.
